2.0 16v Gear Linkage HELP!!!

Hi guys needing some help

I have just replaced my gear linkage on my 2.0 16v Nova with a good condition one from a 1.2 nova but i can only get 1st 3rd 5th and reverse

can any one help me out do i need to mod it in any way?

You didnt flip the white block which attaches the linkage to the box. Detach it and turn it 180 degrees so it makes the reach longer.
