just wondering what power gain if any i will be expecting putting twin 40 webbers on a 1400 SR, or am i better off using a high lift cam etc... to benefit from the webbers??

cheers guys

If a standard 1.4, about 10bhp, if that.

Its a decent cam/head/exhaust and manifold, which gets power up with twin carbs.

Do you know anyone running 14sr T40's so i could ask them, see what they are running??

i have a 1400 on t40's..its quick and sounds fantastic!

i have a 1300 SR head on the 1400 block, powerflow exhaust system and the webbers. hoping to put a proper 4 branch and cam and vernier pulley with mpi head over the winter.

greg1.4 - cool mate, im hoping for a bit more power from mine as i have had to use a C14SE block from corsa which has a huge flywheel so its s**t slow atm!!lol

does anyone know what the standard lift duration of a 1.4sr cam is?? also would a kent AST2 cam be ok to fit a 1.4sr as it says its for the 1300sr?

back in 2002 i has a 1.4sr with a kent cam ast2 i think and adjustable pully 1.3 head with larger 3 angle valves and all the flow work 4 branch manifold and exhaust to mach still wish i just started with the 1.6 in the first place but it was good fun to drive and i think it made 105 bhp but it was a long time ago pic from a phone when they were about 1 mega pixel
