de-lock
de-handle
take door pins off inside so they got nothing to pull up by bending the door back

what car crime? lol
just move to a nice area.

When in swansea we worked out that it was mainly kids jsut breaking in to nick stuff and not so much the cars. So we resorted to NOT locking the car and NOT alarming the thing but immobilising and making sure nothing of any value was in the car. Atleast that way nothing actually got damaged when they had a look round lol.

Id rather someone got in had a look round, found nothing and flucked off than breaking a window and not taking anything etc.

If someone wants a car bad enough, they'll have it. There were pikeys round here not so long ago that had a van and trailer - in broad daylight they'd mosey up to someones house and attempt to load up their car and take it away.

Believe me thats not the easiest way to get into a Nova.

Best security method? Buy a crap car that nobody wants to steal lol

It doesn't matter how much security you have, stupid car thieves will break into it and try and take it anyway. I've never had a car stolen, but thieves have made a right mess of some trying to take them, despite it being obvious they had security - you'd think they would just move on to an easier target, but they don't have that much sense.

Basically you should do as much as you can, alarm/immobiliser, disklock, delock the doors, homemade cut off switches, take leads with you.

Oh and don't go telling anyone and everyone about what you've got under the bonnet or any other expensive items on the car, make out its a 1.0 piece of crap if some stranger asks about it.

This is true but it appears idiot thieves like the method, and no doubt it can royally f*ck your otherwise mint door up. So for a few minutes work it's well worth removing the door pins IMO. :thumb:

if somebody wants your car theyl get it. the only way i feel safe about my cars is if they are locked up in a garage of somesort. mine are in my unit at the moment but is away from home so even then i dont feel 100%, well not until i move house next month and have my cars in the garage there with me all the time, with cctv and alarms.

You can just unscrew the black plastic visible pin, or remove/cut the whole metal rod going to the mechanism. Remove your doorcard and it'll be obvious.

^^Best idea^^

Mine is in a alarmed garage with thick insulated electric door with no handle.
The nova is CAT1 immobilised and alarmed and driveway is blocked by 2 other vehicles that they would have to drive over.

Point is - if your doing up a nova it needs to be in a garage, stops prying eyes and is easy to alarm - oh and stops the thing turning to rust every time it rains.:thumb:

If it's on the road it only takes 2 seconds to smash the windows, and if you don't hear that they've got all night to get round the immobiliser / push it down the road. These people aren't bothered if you spot them as long as they can dart off quick enough.

I always remove my king lead an take it with me, it stopped my car from being stolen once which I think was a customer that saw it at the garage. Its like it would have gone far with out hitting the nearest tree as they were ****ing firing the nitrous while trying to turn it over.
