ecu light on xe

been trying to wire this up and i cant seem to do it been told its the brown/white and brown/blue joined together with a bulb or brown/white with a live

brown and blue on xe loom to brown and blue on nova clocks.

just been told if the engine is out of a gte then you cant get the light to work?????

afaik you can, use brown blue off engine loom to brown yellow on dash (choke light)
