good work mate, is it hard i got mine mon

NovaLad

Err even though i failed twice 1st i found the theory well easy because i had took the test before loadsa times...

If you revise loads it really pays off because you get there and know the answers to the questions straight away.

The only bit i found hard was the Hazard Perception but all you can do with that is practice. Good Luck lol.

When i took my theory, few years back, they had only just bought the hazard perception out. I just looked for the same car in all the clips and clicky clicky lol

lol, ok children.

The theory IMO is hard! the HazardP isnt. Although i passed first time. I Revised my nuts off. Novalad. Book it now! im still waiting 4 weeks for my test. Dec 12 here i come! :D

See I thought the questions were easier. Like Jack's said, it's hard to classify what you class as a hazard and what they might class as a hazard.

People want to pass before christmas! lol

yer i agree, But when u get questions like

"wat do u do when your car cathes on fire in a Tunnel?"

Its kinda Hard to think of anything else other than Run! lol
The actual answer is too drive as far as u can until u reach the end! I mean wtf!

Whats the point in booking an intensive course then?
Why not phone and book a test first.

I passed both theory and practical first time.
One of my old school friends took several attempts at his theory and 5 attempts at his practical.

IMO some people are supposed to drive and others should be banned from the road.

Edit: My brother booked an intensive course and still failed... now he's had to have a load of lessons which in total cost him more than just taking regular driving lessons.

Well actually that would be useless because it's now 50 questions but was offering it you for a laugh if you wanted to try it out as i don't need it... lol

Jack
07-11-07, 01:52 PM
50 questions?! Christ...

As said, use the crash course (perhaps "crash" isn't the best way to describe it lol) as a refresher and make sure you get a decent amount of practice tests in before you do the real one!

Incidentally, what is the "correct" (i.e. what they want you to say) answer to the bright headlights one?

It was seriously something like ''Cover your eyes with your hand'', That was on the 35 questions cd that i have But never saw it during theory test.

I answered use your sun visor (LMAO!) because cover your eyes with your hands sounded a bit silly.

EDIT- When i buy a new drive for my comp i will find out the exact question and screenshot it.

Jack

Just goes to show the "correct" answer isn't the best one! Yikes...

btw, if you do get dazzled, drop your eyes down and follow the verge or edge lines on the road. Thats how I survive, and with the celica being low I get dazzled a lot lol

seems a good time to point out that although it sounds silly, i really don't think the practical tests are perticulaly valid. they should at least be restrcutured. i have a few mates who have passed first time and are awful drivers. yet i know other people who it took them many attempts and are better drivers for it.
i got failed on my last test on a reverse park. the guy thought i was going to hit the car i parked behind when driving back out. yet full lock reversing into a space is exactly the same as full lock going out of the space. annoying or what!!!

NovaLad

full lock into a bay space ?? or on a street?

well i beg to differ but i know numerous clever little ****s that boast they passed there test first time etc then within a week theyve stacked there motor!

hmmm passing first time realy makes you a better driver dont it

Jack

I passed first time, and was said to be a pretty good driver. I didn't really know how good I was as I wasn't experienced enough at the time to pass comment, but I do recall driving as much as possible to get more experience.

Depends from person to person really, it doesn't matter how many times it took to pass your test, as its how you drive afterwards that counts. And if you drive like you had to on your test, then you're asking for trouble IMO lol

Alex.
07-11-07, 05:03 PM
All you've gotta do on your test is just be confident. Which I didn't do very well, hence why I took my test a few times! lol
But I think if I'd have passed first time I wouldn't have been as confident to go out driving then I was when I eventually did pass.
You do appriciate passing something more when you've failed it a few times. Whatever it is. lol

Couldn't agree with you more on that one, Failed my HP on my Theory twice by 1 point and i was gutted both times and felt like ''Hurting'' the Dsa lol!

Then felt like giving up till another mate passed and it just made me want to pass it more so re-booked it and passed and i havn't been this happy about something in a long time lol.

Infact the last time i was this happy i had just got my CBT and insurance for my moped haha

I think something like 60% of people who pass first time, have a crash within there first year of driving,Lol.
Whereas only about 20%(or something like that), of 2nd time passers do.

Novalad-Congrats on passing, now you can have a crack at the proper test lol

NovaLad

I'm very carefull on the roads i know what they are like i spent a year on a moped on them.

I know when you can and can't push ya luck... lol

And know how to talk to the feds if i get pulled lol.

they say once you've passed your test you start to learn how to drive properly anyway. learning to drive with an instructor is learning how to pass a test. guess it's a bit strange but you just have to do it until you have that green card!

Well done Novalad.
I done my test that long ago I didn't even have to do a theory, so christ nows what there about.

I crashed twice in a year after passing my test, a head in a mini and then in my first Nova I crashed into a pig car. But hav'nt had an accident since.

So good luck with the practical, just don't drive like a **** when you do pass.

don't think that what you do on the pizza bike will help on your car test.....
no popping it on the pavement, undertaking, or trying to pull 14year old girls with it will be any use at all. Maybe a tight fitting skirt will help!
