Right, I want a red top nova and have been looking for ages for a nice clean car to build myself. Is it worth just looking at cars that already have fuel injection, ie 1.2i, SRi, GTE, or GSi or is it easy enough to convert a carb engined model?. I know I'll have to swap petrol tanks if it's a carb'd car but what else?. Thannks for any answers.

the spi tanks dont have the right pump anyway.

you dont "have" to swap tanks as you can have an external pump etc aslong as the tank has a return feed to it.

Thanks for the reply, is it easier to wire up a red top motor into a SRi or GSi or isn't there much difference? Is there a wiring diagram anywhere to point me in the right direction. I really fancy the sleeper look so would prefer to buy an old 1.2.

As you said its easier to use an injected nova in the first place as everthing is there already there you could use a single point injection tank but you have got to use a multipoint pump instead

Its an easier conversion on a gte/gsi.
SPi is harder as youve got the built in loom which is a hassel.

CArb car just needs tank/lines
And a fuel pump wire running.
Rest is same.
