I went to our local 8th mile drag event yesterday which is taking off in our area. Considering the time of year it was absolutely rammed with spectators & participants alike.
There is an 8th mile drah strip which although a bit short, seems to pull in the number with the queue being very long throughout the afternoon. New for this month was a small handling circuit which caught my attention & was good watching, the strip s tricky to get a good view because of the numbers.
Anyway. Heres a few pics of the Nova's I saw & also a vid of the Nova that held the winning time for the handling circuit nearly all day until a well practiced Clio 182 finally took a tenth of a second off the Nova's time with an 18.1sec to the Nova's 18.2. The Nova was unable to respond as he sheared a rear engine mount on the drag strip in the mean time.
Nicely prepped & reshelled GTE for hillclimbs & sprints. 16 8v with OMEX & TB's.

One of the Pink Nova's handling runs. Approx 18.5 sec IIRC (not best run)

2.0 8v with twin webbers.
Its great event thats really taking off. The queues for food vans etc were huge, you could hardly see any Drag action due to the crowds & there were hundreds of tuned cars & bikes to see, enough to keep any petrolhead happy.
