AFAIK AndyRacer's red SR has standard vinyl bar the rub strip, looks a bit weird IMO as the vinyl is then further down than the bumpers.

Keep it as it is and just lower it so the vinyl is virtually online with the bumper

KEEP THE VINYL & THE RUB STRIPS.

Tbh it would be a crime to ruin one has to be one of the best examples of a mk1 SR left. Dropping it 120mm wont do it any favours either. It will handle better with a -40mm drop tbh.

Yeah, and lowering it 120mm will look a bit odd.

Id go 60mm MAX.

And if you are hell bent on changing your wheels, a set of Anthracite Cesaro's would look great.

i re-vinyled mine, was a pita but its darker then the original vinyl and imo looks better without the bump strips on, it just looks a bit funny on othe r novas as its lower then normal, mines the same height as if it has bump strips.

yer wasnt serious about 120mm proberly bout 90-100 wats the point of 40mm tbh i didnt think it was ne change to me wen i had it that low thats y ive chosen coilovers.

Going low and solid is fine for track use when you can be sure the road is flat and relatively smooth. For road use, you want to have some travel in the suspension to avoid the car skipping round corners and generally being a pain in the ar$e - literally - on anything other than fresh tarmac

mines dropped 60 and have still got the vinyl and bump strips

the 60mm made a massive difference to the handling, as did the strut brace, and can still do speedbumps etc, albeit slowly.

good comprimise imo, heres what it looks like.

Stop text typing please.

Lowering the car that much is not good for UK roads...or your back.

personally i like it without

-40mm ftw, it keeps that nice standard look and still handles very well. IMO, its more about the rates of the springs and dampers rather than the amount of drop when it comes to handling with Novas. Anything with a drop over -80 and you start getting lots of strange tyre wear.

dan is right, if your going for the look of ultra slammed ure gonna hamper the handling of the car, plus ure gonna knacker all your suspension bushes and cv joints, an up side would be to get some 15" alloys with a 195 wide tyre and lower a maximum of 60mm (ideally 40mm) this will give you the handling you require without all the unnesersary expence of replacing other parts so quickly.
