Which 1 looks neater out of the two !!! I want to get it looking the best I can, theres a post on roybacer at the moment and people say its a right twat to get smooth !!! is this right ??? my cousin did his and he just put a metal plate in the reg plate holder then filled it and sanded it. but he couldnt get it quite flat but it looks quite good, u cant really tell unless u go really close. altho i think im gonna put a whole metal sheet across the back that way it will be all the same flatness(hopefully) then smooth it in or woteva
good luck
have a look on here
think theres one -

Think this one has the bumper colour coding also...
ive flushed a lot of tailgates and personaly think the best way to do em is to just fill the recess. if you put a plate right across the tailgate it doesnt look right because it makes it slightly larger.
yes it can be awkward to get it straight , but if you put enuff effort in to it and take your time you 'll get there eventually.
I'll gladly flush a tailgate for you. See my post in for sale - Anybody wanting these.
Let me know your requirements and i'll get cracking straight away.

hey ill take a smoothed boot. how much???
I have nearly finished smoothing my boot but something has occured to me..
Before when i opened to boot normally with the push button, you had to lift the boot aswell or else it would partly lock again and wouldnt open properly..
But now when i put the new boot on and try to open it with the switch on the dash it will just open the lock put it still wont be able to lift it.
Especially now its a hell of alot heavier.
How does everyone else get away wit it?
You need some kind of spring loaded mechanism to push the boot far enough past the lock. I've never done anything like this but thats what I'd use if I did it. Something like a pin ball mechanism? :?:
