well it's got a frount mount intercooler power boost vavle and an eds phase 1 chip and i had it on the rollers last week and it got 246 bhp with the chip off and it was loseing traction so they said it would be more than that and i was thinking of putting a phase 3 chip on it so will need a bigger turbo

Stick some evo5 chips in(280-300hp), cost about ?100. And thats about the limit of the std turbo.
More needs a bigger turbo.

the standard turbo will do 300bhp any more than that an the common route it fit a T34 but that requires fancy manifold an all new pipes ect..

T4 is huge. T3 is more suitable.

t4 is a big turbo as lltn said t3 should be more than enough for your spec

this is the one i was on about as my mate got it with his mr2 but does not want to fit it and in is brannew and can be mine for ?150 with extarnal wastgate and all the pipe workhttp://xs-power.com/turbos/turbo004.html

buy it for ?150 and sell it on for ?300.... then buy a T3 type, IF you really want to do it that is.

What are the aims for the car? do you just want a big number and not have it driveable, 1/4 miles, track etc etc... this all determines the spec really, as simply fitting a bigger turbo wont gain you much if the rest of the engine cant cope.

Eeek, XS power. I wouldn't touch them with Stuart's lol

Also, bear in mind a bigger turbo generally equals more lag.
