i have a 15" kicker comp sub in a box with 2 ports what diffrent will blanking 1 port off make

Yeah, that will make a difference.

What model sub is it? It may not like being in a sealed enclosure; or you may find the sound gets better. The manual should tell you what the preferred enclosure type is.

It would make a differance, if you think the same amount of air would still be moving inside the box, just passing though a smaller port. There'd be a bit more pressure in the box causing the sub to sound tighter, but the port might sound funny as it has to be tuned to the sub and the frequency you want. If its the standard sub in the box it came in, then leave it be. If your bored you could stuff the ports with something just to hear the differance for yourself.
