1.7 Td

hi all im thinking of puting a 1.7 td in my novavan and im just woundering if the engine mounts are the same as the standard 1.5 diesel ones and is there any other mods i need to do? thanx :thumb:

unless you are very good with the spanners i wouldnt go there. it is much harder than it looks as it is only the actual bare block that is the same, everything bolted to he block is different and needs changing

Ive a 1.7 lying in my garage converted but was nvr fitted, far as i can remember the drivers side engine mount is different and you have to modd the 1.5 one, Basicly the timing belt setup is slightly different on the 1.5 than 1.7 which hampers the 1.5 mount being fitted onto the 1.7, hard to explain but ull see what i mean when you try to fit it..

theres a guard has to be cut away from the back of the pump to clear the nova bulkhead also.

Youll also have to find a space for the intercooler too..

Very worthwhile conversion imo tho, turns them into rocket ships!!
