If I have a 4 channel amplifier and I put 2 coaxial speakers on the front left and right channels, is it bad to then put a different pair of coaxial speakers on the rear left and right channels?

No lol

EDIT: only left and right as the amp would work in pairs. You could even bridge one pair of left and rights to power a sub...

Well thats how it's been on the amp I've used, depends how cheap your amp is, it may just take the signal - amp it - and chuck it out 4 ways.

Mkoy... its just that I plan to have some 90W coaxials on the front and a pair of 110W 6x9s on the rear (yes I know, 6x9s are **** but hey lol)

Not sure what amp I'll be using yet, but I'm thinking it'll either be an old Alpine or new Infinity unit.

PM'd plus that would work fine, and you need beatings for owning 6x9's lol

oh c'mon, bigger surface area of a speaker = bigger sound..?
Aint that what its about in cars?
At least he's amping them; soo many people havent experienced the sound of 6x9's amp'ed properly.. and theyre great value for money.
Just look a bit cack..
