My 1300 nova's standard cam is making a lovely knocking sound so I'll guess it's worn and will want replacing as I'm probaly losing power for it.
While it's getting replaced I thought rather than putting a standard one on I may aswell put a performance cam in. If so, which type and how long will my current cam last for as I probaly won't have money to replace it for another month or so. ( I use synthetic oil also if that makes any difference) :?

dunno how long ur std cam will last, lol, might last forever, who knows.

as for performance ones, well depends on what you want really doesnt it.

them shrick ones are good mild road cams, piper ones can be a bit lumpy down low revs. or alternatively get one profiled for what you want.

autosprint in birmingham profile em for relatively cheap.

u want there number?

Yeh cheers you can leave their number down. Doesn't hurt to try. I'm basically after something that'll give me alot of mid-range power and go well with other mods I've got on the car. Supppose anything is better than standard?
