hi just a quick question is it easy to do a water pump on redtop nova and do you have to take engine out also cambelt has to be taken off:thumb:

It will be very hard if not impossible to do it with the engine in place, it requires taking all the cam belt off which is so close to the chassis when in a nova its very very difficult.

Can be done with engine in situ - But the o/s/f engine mount needs to be removed and the engine lifted/dropped to actually get the water pump out !!!

As Fearless says, just a case of un-doing the front mount and lowering the engine (on a jack) a bit, be carefull not to over stretch any pipes / wires tho.
Doing a cambelt is no problem really, only thing that makes the water pump tricky is lack of space ... take your time and you'll be fine.

Water pump is held in by 3 M8 (6mm allen key) bolts, before you get to the water pump you'll have to remove the Alt belt, timing belt cover, timing belt, pulleys, tensioners and back plate ... helps if you've got small hands as well, as it can be tight !!
