I think you will find it hard to get the entire door made up, although they may make just the outer skin's..But is it really worth it?

I'm up for this too, i've been asking around companies near me but they don't seem too bothered.

because its a HUGE stack of work for feck all gain (unless they charge sensible to them money but then you lont wont buy them)

I'd much rather front wings (that are a proper fit) instead, theres plenty of scope for weight reduction by taking an angle grinder to the parts of the doors not visible from outside, thats not the case with wings though.

Well had some good new regarding this. Ive found someone that is willing to do this at around ?500 a pair. In either fiberglass or carbon. And is even going to do carbon boot and bonnet for me. This wont be for about 6 months tho as he is doing it on the side of his day job. So if your intressted give me a shout

is that for a full door, or just a skin?

I'd hope GRP would be cheaper than the carbon ones lol

You would need to fabricate the hinges & a metal brace on that inner edge of the door IMO.

The existing ones that were once produced were pretty shoddy in that area.

I wouldnt reckon anyone would want them on a show car tbh. Purely for track sl ags.

^^^ Agreed there Craig, the hinge area on ones I've seen are cr@p

However, if they are well made, a good fit shouldn't be a big issue.

True, but that just means the price will be pushed up as they will be more labour intensive.

Or they could just be made properly in the first place lol

I know where you are coming from though :)

well the guy that will be making them will be doing a top job that i can be sure about, he knows how fussy i am and if there not up to my standard i wont buy them and he would of done it for nothing. but ive seen a pug 106 he made carbon doors for and bonnet and must say i was very impresed with the work and quality. once he has made them for me i would post pics of the doors off and on so you can see how they fit ect. but remember its a while away yet so gives you chance to start saving
