View Full Version : Not a Nova....Uneven tyre wear
I switched the front wheels and tyres for the rear wheels and tyres on the Audi 80 today (after finally getting the locking wheel bolts sorted...) and found that the front offside tyre has loads of wear just on the inside. The nearside is going that way too. Is this a symptom of toe-ing out? And how easy is it to rectify? The car is a standard Audi 80 sport which has not been lowered.

Bring to your local garage and get your wheels balancing and alligned
wheel balance has fcuk all to do with it.
either too much negative camber or too much toe (one way or the other)
Cool, thank you Stuart. Will a tyre place be able to sort toe by getting the wheels alligned?
Yup (a tyre place will be able to sort you out), just go get the tracking sorted. We are assuming that you don't have the suspension modifyed so that you have alot of Neg camber.
EDIT: Wear on the inside shows toe out.
