this bit off the T/B....not entirly grind it off, just make it smaller so i can fit my spunky strut brace...

Isn't that the idle adjuster / mixture screw or whatever ???
Sure you'd be able to trim it back a little, best bet would be to remove the screw and see how deep it goes, as long as you leave enough thread for the screw / adjuster then should be ok. (make a note of where it was set to)

Yeah I beleive so.... or smooth it away totally. I've got a spare TB or 3 if it goes wrong.
