I believe the 'E' in GTE is Einspritzung
GSI- Grand Sports Injection
GTE- Grand Touring (Einspritzung) its a german word for something i know, think RJ is right
SRi- Sports Refined Injection
SR-Sports Refined

I have indeed, playing my cards close to me chest tho. Wont be hugely different in a nova sense, but it'll be good all the same.
I always thought SR(i) was Sports Road, or though Sports Refined makes more sense.
Or Sports Rally (+e, if you're french) lol

The E in GTE is Einspritzanlage which is German for injection.
What I cannot understand is why in Europe they ran with GSi from start of production of the Mk1 1.6(GTE) when we were using the GTE badge. Common sense would say it was the other way round, it was the same with the Mk2 Astra GTE/GSi.
