my nova van,1 owner and 52k, minter

just said id post pics of my nova van, its got 1 owner from new who it took me ages to persuade to sell it to me.... its being garaged since early 04 and has no rust whatsoever,only 52k from new, 1.0 engine thats not goin the best, carb is ****d....
im thinkin of doin a gte conversion to it, kit, speedlines, respray, e16se block etc
im curious also what its worth,any ideas??

with nice wheels.......and a spaking engine

nicely detailed under the bonnet etc etc

dont b strapping aloda silly spoilers on it...or even doing a gte replica like most folk do

im not in2 stupid kits dont worry...
drop it,speedlines,16v front brakes,e16se and gte seats would be my exact plan...

not gone on the colour but dont want to respray it, it will defo buff up....
what do yas think?? can i make that colour work?? never seen a mexican red modded nicely..

iv enough on my plate building my 1.6 turbo gsi..
any 1.6 engines up your way mate??

If its rust/dent free its got potential. However I'd say its worth far more to you than anyone else.

A builder might give ?200 for it with tax & MOT.

I say GTE replica it in its original colour, either way keep it Mk1. (I'm sure you will).

its completely rust and dent free,it was never used for heavy work, just gardening so the inside is filty but will clean up nicely...

obviously changes to tank & or fuel lines & biggest change is the drivers side engine mount which is located differently & on the engine exits through the cam belt loop. The mount is within the chassis leg biox xsection, not outside of it like petrol cars.

Erm Bumpers are all original GM plastic. None of it's painted. In terms of cosmetics i've only replaced the standard mk2 item for a genuine plastic GM GSi front, and bolted on a pair of skirts that i Paint stripped back to the original plastic.

As you can see, the tow eye cover on the plastic bumpers are actually painted ! (the only painted bit) Mine flaked badly (as you can see in the picture) i resprayed it rover hurricane grey recently; LLTN's suggestion. However, hurricane grey is a couple of shades too light. = There must be a vauxhall paint code for the standard bumper finish, as they painted all the tow eye covers !.. although i couldn't be **** to find it. I rarely use it for much than doing trackdays now so it doesn't need to be pretty

Give it a bloody good polish. I had my engine bay stitch welded and sprayed a year or so ago when i fitted my New engine. If you keep ontop of the existing paintwork, there is very little difference between the old and fresh stuff !
