hi guys ive recently red a thread on hear that says u can make the 1.2i (45hp) have just as much bhp as a carburetteur version (60hp) by puittin a 1.4 sr/sri camshaft in plus a gte manifold and sri twin front pipe but i was wondering if a camshaft out of a 1.6 mpi astra (c16se) engine would work as i have a spare head an cam for one also would i be able to use the 1.6 cam box or the nova one to house the cam thats if i can use it of course any help would be appreciated

cheers damen.

You should be able to put the C16SE cam straight into the C12NZ, check the dizzy fitment before you start though, both will need to have slot/pin dizzy drive, whichever your spi dizzy uses.

If you've got a C16SE engine though, and the insurance isnt too much, just fit that :thumb:.

If you have the tools/knowledge and the cam lying about, its worth doing.
Just make sure the cams not worn as that defeats the object of fitting a higher lift cam,Lol.
