Is an 1.6 16v engine heavier than a 2.0 8v including boxes?

no, its lighter. Small block vs big block.

Small block engines have to be tethered down so that they don't float away whilst the the Big blocks are usually what you tether them to.

I recall from somewhere the 2.0 8V was heavier than the 2.0 16V!
