well has any one got pictures off some poilshed engine bays i reccently did a few little bits and bobs to mine but as im fitting an xe i didnt go mad but heres what i did so lets have a look at what all you lot have done to yours

Mathew172( ithink) has a bling'd bay, so does martin kelson.
Mark ridleys(now sold) has a next bay aswell:thumb:

thanks allot matey it allways makes me want to polish everything in my 2 novas bays when i see stuff like that it allways makes me go and try hard at cleaning something lol

Plug lead holders come from vauxhall and are fitted to astra mk4s with the 8v engine

thank you for all your replies i polished the cam housing with a dremel multi tool a tooth brush a tube off autosol and a sh*t load of time and swearing lol yea it is abit of a shame about my bay but my little sr is cuming off the road soon and being restored ill also be sorting the bay out as its bin like it since i bought her got some crap all over i cant get off so its rub down time.

Yes and im the one that got it made..........:)

From the last time i saw it its a long long way of being the way i had it , cant believe the neglect since i sold it

Still came up well, not concours well though :) I did that in about an hour....
The problem with the GTE was being kept outside for a year after you got rid of it, any small weaknesses it might have had even when you had it came out pretty quick...
Needed permanent garaging.

The car was not garaged in the 15 years i had it so it was down to neglect, you can keep a car tip top if you look after it , it does not have to be in a garage.

Fair one, but as the car gets older the more vunerable it gets...
I don't disagree with you, but my point was even if it wasn't looked after, if it had been garaged it would have stayed in better condition.
Its still is (sorry was) a mighty clean GTE, even if not concours.
