Does the fan work?

The heater itself is just a radiator that the fan blows air through, so is heated by engine coolant.

I have just got this working myself,

passenger side matrix goes to the side of the head

the black plastic picolo tube has two outlets on it at the back

drivers side matrix goes to one of the outlets
header tank goes to the other picolo outlet.

Hey presto, warm air.

Note - i had to shorter the drivers side matrix pipe about 1.5cm's because the engine leans on it and splits the rubber pipe.

yes get a mark 2 loom and chop the plug off that goes to the heater switch and join to yours all the wires are the same couler but they are it different places in mk1 and mark 2
