1.4 carb onto a 1.2

Hi all, just wondered if carbs from a 1.4sr or whatnot would fit onto a 1.2? I think the carbs in 1.4's are Pierburg 2e3's or summat. Are they auto choke or manual and would it be difficult to convery a manual choke to an auto? or is that not relevant?

yes it will fit if u use the sr inlet manifold, u will be better of useing the 1.3sr inlet manifold as the ports are matched more

u will need to add sum waterpipe t pieces to hook the autochoke up and find your autochoke wire taped up in the engine bay

early cars didnt have the autochoke wire on the loom

thanks. my nova is a 1989 1.2 so should it have the autochoke wire? or is it possible to hook up an autochoke carb as manual choke? i often see kits for auto to manual in me local motor parts shop.

just want to squeeze a bit more juice out without the fuss of shoving a 2L engine in :)
