Well I've had had a long think about it and Im considering selling my sr (replica)
Originally a 1.2L when I bought it, I had my GTE engine and box fitted to it and added all of my old sr parts to it, along with very good sr vinyls to door pillars and tailgate.
Here's a brief spec:
Engine/ gearbox:
Nova gte 1.6 8v K&N filter, F13cr box, now covered 96,000 which is very close to the shell. Oil filter changes every 5,000 miles, had the engine 2 years and has only ever needed servicing.
New 4-1 rally 4 branch manifold and straight through system back in april.
Suspension:
Lowered 35mm on monroe shocks and jamex springs.
Brakes:
256mm astra gte brakes using mintex discs and pads, brand new about 4,000 miles ago and work fine, although calipers sometimes stick.
Interior:
Original 1983 L spec of bright red carpets, door cards and seats etc, do have a complete brown SR interior (everything besides parcel shelf) but this isnt included in the sale.
Exterior:
Original 83' spec front bumper, SR snow plough splitter. The car had a full respray a few years back in original polar white, colour hasnt faded and polishes up very good.Very good for the year, small dent in the bonnet where a oversized air filter was fitted but isnt very noticeable.
Last month the car was in a minor accident and has had another wing fitted (needs spraying) and has left a nasty dent in the rear 1/4. Both doors are original, but there is a small bit of bubbling along the bottom of the passenger door.
Wheels:
14" astra GTE alloys fitted with 185/60/14 tyres, 2 of which were replaced about 6 months ago. Couple of scuff marks.
Security:
Thatcham CAT 1 alarm and immobilser which controls the central locking, (Central locking kit is included with sale but not fitted) And a fuel pump cut off.
RUST: Well, no novas perfect, it has a small bit of rust on the boot floor, a bit in the engine bay behind the suspension turret and a patch on the passenger door. There is also a leak in the driver footwell caused by a thin rust hole which would need a plate.
The only other bad point is a slight vibration coming from the steering wheel over 50 mph, I initially thought it needed the wheels balancing, but its still the same, my local garage checked over the steering/ suspension and all seems fine so im putting it down to the callipers sticking.
Think thats everything, car is located in Kent, just 5 minutes from Junctin 7 M20.
NO P/X ?600 no sensible offer refused..
And I WONT break, car to be sold complete..
