Sounds like bo****ks to me, if you want to add fans that cool it then start cutting holes in the case for exhaust fans.
Had to do it to my wireless access point as it was running a little warm.

Cos theyre far more interested in beating Sony than actually making a reliable product. I would never have an xbox, regardless of how much cheaper they are. Im just shocked that they still get bought with such a pi55 poor record.

Hopefully now that Blu ray is taking off, Gates will have a nice batch load shoved up his ass.

Everyone i know personally who bought one has had it fall over. Stuarts fell over too, and hes getting another one! Fool. I bought my girlfriend an Xbox one for christmas a few years ago, and its refused to read discs for the last year, regardless of how many cleaning disks i put through it. My PS2, however, which is older than the hills, still works faultlesly lol

Burgo don't bother getting a fan. Just make sure where you stand it, that there's plently of air space around it.

Supposedly giving it a rest between long sessions can help prolong them but to be honest.. I usually play for at least 4 hours solid.

My brother still has a launch xbox without any problems. Most of the dodgy ones can be traced to a number of batch productions. Anything around June 06 - November 06.

I have zero reliability issues with my xbox. Occasionally Rainbow 6 Vegas freezes on certain nights but this has been proven to be a programming fault with the game.

Having used a fat grilling machine.... er i mean PS3 I'd have the xbox 360 over it any day.

No its not. HD-DVD is handing out some severe ownage to BluRay in the US at the moment.

my 360s fine.. i played FM2 for about 8hrs fell to sleep(it was still on) woke up in the morning and it was stil fine.. also mine cant fall far.. its on the floor

Yup. HD may be chaper, but it doesnt have the capacity. As you said, exactly like Beetamax / VHS.

At the moment, the cheaper alternative will always be out in front, but as the technology developes, priority changes. Seeing as you can get twice as much on a blu ray disc than you can on an HD, not even including double layering, Blue ray is far superior.

Although we are living in a time now where cost has much more bearing on its success than its abilities, but i still think Blu ray will kick some serious buttocks in the end.

HD DVD have already licensed production to some chinese/taiwanese companies, sony will never do that, the war is won, but the fanboys just dont know it yet :).
