Are they really needed on a Nova?

If so, what do they do?

Always wondered if I'd ever need them incase my suspension/turret comes up through the bonnet one time...

Cheers, Vaughan

Its much more likely that the turret would seperate from the inner wing due to rusty seams, than the suspension coming up through the top of the turrets, in my opinion they're only for looks.

So they don't really have a purpose?

Not really, definately not on the average road car.

Ah well cheers for clearing that up

Would a strut brace make much difference?

Yes, a strut brace will help to reduce chassis flex and improve the handling, but to get the full benefits you'd need to be using polybushes and aftermarket suspension.

I might invest in a strut brace once the car is all fixed up

Got G-Max -60mm springs and shocks on it...

Better off saving the strutbrace and strut top funds and putting that towards decent suspension instead tbh lol

I think I'll go for a strut brace nearer the time of the car going on the road :)

That pic is scary CG...
