digi dash help needed

Does it matter what gearbox the speed sensors in? as I've test run the nova tonight and no matter which side the little red switch is in, it reads way off:confused:

I don't want to have to undo all my work:cry:

Probably the wrong transducer.
Does the speed seem about half/double what it should be?

double, but I did read on mig last night your ment to flick the switch with the ignition off, whith I didn't:tard::roll:

Only SOME dashes changed the speed(transducer signal frequency) when you flicked the switch.
Others just changed between the tyre size the car was fitted with.

Despite the popularity of this conversion; there is no ultimate/everything- sorted and sussed guide to all the transducer/etc combos available, so its a bit of a minefield.. AH's and AF's and so on..
