running in?

simple question..do i need to run my new big end shells in? i am fitting them tonight and just wondering if i need to run them in..

any idea how many miles i should do? cheers

No in theory, maybe go a bit easy on them but its the piston ring seal thats the big issue with running in a new engine.

i would say yes bed them in just dont push the engine too hard to start with gradually bring them up to speed.
