You guys probaly already know, but i got sent a message from phil corris (crime prevention officer) saying that if you recieve a call on your mobile saying there a company engineer checking the line and they want you to press #90 or #09 then hang up immeadiatly without pressing any other buttons. They are a high class fraud company that can acces your sim and make calls at your expense :thumb::eek:

Thats listed on snopes as a partly true scam as some OLD landline phone systems it would divert to an outside line. As for being used on a mobile phone, I thought hash codes were 3 digits.

The next people who I can are going to get my official voice saying "Sorry to bother you but I am a telephone engineer, could you please press #90 for me please".

My faves are when you answer the phone.
"Hello, underground airways. How can I help?"
"Hello, this is the straight bannana bending company"
