View Full Version : which gearbox
as a result of killing my 1.4sr's gearbox, and the 1.3sr box i replaced it with not working, i've resorted to fitting a gearbox from a 1.2
hopefully this will not be for long.
what is the best gearbox i could fit? will a F13cr from a gte fit and what difference will the 1.2 box make e.g. any losses or gains
roll on sunday
1200's have f10's, same as 1400's
yes but most 1.2's only have a 4 speed box.
im pretty sure the f13cr box will fit, and give better acceleration

1.2 optional 5 speed is the same as the 1.3sr box
the 1.2 box is a f10 five speed
whats the difference bettween this and a 1.4box(which is also f10)
will the gte box fit or not and are the driveshafts the same :?:

can't u see the pic?
if its a pic of a red cross then yes we can see it.
you wont need gte shafts, the flywheel is a different size therefore the starter is in a different place. so i know it will bolt onto the engine, but thats all i can be arsed in finding out.
from what i can remember from these small engines, it should do. just use ur original shafts.
my mate has an f13 box sitting if you want to buy it?
yup the bolt holes on the f13 r exactly the same as on the f10, i cant think of anything that would stop it from fitting, and yes u use ur original shafts :)
i reacon you got use the flywheel and starter from the 1600 though, unless it was a 1400sri ie came with the f13
