I have lowered my car 60mm but i still have the original shox and it knocks when i go over speed bumps pot holes etc. i have been given the following part numbers for a set of G-Max shox that are supposed to work well with the lowered springs
50-VA-13F Front
50-VA-13R Rear

but the guys at Carouser in Dunstable said that shortened shox would be better as they don't deal with G-max. i have also been told that uprated shox would be better... What do i believe? :?

Shortened shox would be better as at the moment, there is a chance that the rear springs could dislocate, and if it happens you will s*$t your pants believe me and do some proper damage to your car.

While your on replace the bump stops on the shox with uprated ones, jamex do them along with others, as the original ones are pants and at a drop of 60mm will not last long.

But that just my reviews from experience.

i have G max full kit lowered 60mm - dont understand what theyre on about (but then again I'm pissed so!!!). The gmax shox are shortened gas dampers and work well with 60mm springs (providing u get the right set).

neway - if your springs are 60mm just get Gmax ones - theyre ok for entry level - come with 3 yr guarantee aswell (if fitted properly) - remember to cut down yer bump stops by 20mm on front.

I got full set of gmax shocks and springs for ?200!

Most aftermarket shox are uprated, some are shorter. Like the G-max ones.
