Whats the best way to get rid of the crap?

Would some sort of drill attachment be the quickest way?

Going to do the whole underneath of the car so dont want to spend days scraping it off! lol

I think the cleanest way would be a sharpened scraper. Wire wheels or similar just heat things up and smear it all over the place.

a big heater beside it for a while......and then a sharpe wood chissel is a good job for removing it

possibly a small wire wheel on the grinder for the final wee bits thought

just wondering why do you want to remove it just to get some more fresh stuff on it better protection?

I used a wire wheel on mine and worked a treat. half a day job but make sure you wear something over your face if you do it that way

Well I think its hiding some rust and i'd rather sort it out now, plus ive heard bad things about underseal, i.e it traps moisture and can cause more problems if not applied properly.

Also fancy painting it once its all clean:thumb:

Personally I'd leave it & just treat the ares that are a bit crusty.

Then paint it.

i used a wire wheel on a grinder but make sure you have thick gloves as the wires tend to fly off n get stuck in your hands the job took me all afternoon aswell
