I heard them power cap jobies restrict the flow at the top end of the revs? Plus i think they look gash imo.

Pulley won't add power, filter will probably restrict the intake, and powercaps are questionable (I've only got one as it was local and I couldn't find an SFi box at the time).

How well has the engine been maintained?

Powercaps are usually proven to be worse than Sfi boxes.
As the sfi box is a specific size for the torque level iirc.

to be honist your better sticking with the sfi box with the standard airbox. most redtops dont like a filter on them and run rubbish. unless you buy a good one like a viper

Pretty much normal.
But even with "only" 150/155hp, it aint slow,Lol.

is the gte a redtop? aways thought the calibra was the only one with a redtop or am i totally wrong lol is it a xe?

Astra GTE 16v (later one) is a redtop, the other one is an 8 valve I think.

Cav GSi, Calibra 16v and Late MK2 astra GTe's and Mk 3 astra GSi's all had the XE.

Thats the only reason people buy cavs. Small block it na then put it on mig web.

plenty of cars had the xe then thanks for clearing that up. any important engine mods need doing or are they pretty good as stock? already put the spec at start just standard really

There good in stock form.
To get decent power you need cash,plenty of it.
