hi guys,
right...... im now at the stage where iv got bored of my 1.6 engine and want more power.... lots more power!!! im now old and wise enough to be able to afford insurance on a let powered little monster but im in two mind of how to go about it. i already have a very... very clean nova which im very proud of, now do i say 'go for it' an drop a let in that, or do i sell it and find another nova which has already had the conversion done?? the best example of a perfect turbo nova conversion in my eyes was 'simps nova'...... pure beuty!

so basicly what id like to know is.... start to finish, what am i looking at spending to convert my nova??

I'd convert your own, as there's not alot of properly converted turbo novas around. Most get broken anyway.

Cost could be anything from 2k to 5k depending on how far you want to take it, if you buy everything new or second hand, and how clean you want the conversion to look,

Keith

thanks mate. well im very fussy lol so knowing me id be in the 5k category. im not even close to being a mechanic so wouldnt be able to do that side of things, but being a fabricator i can do all of the prepping. im just scared of getting hit with hefty mechanics bills.

Depends massively on a lot of things, like if you do it or pay someone else to do it, how anal you are as to using new parts / shiny, pretty parts. I Currently have about 5k in my corsa an that includes doing everything, how ever alot of the parts I have made myself and all the work has been done by me and using cheap parts where possible. Actually on second thoughts it might be nearer 6-7k due to my turbo blowing up phase I went through lol.

The turbo conversion is actually very straightforward....
