just bought a vectra off ebay,
needs water pump replacing ive done them before but i havnt got the
spanner needed to get round the back of it and crack it of,
basically i don't want to walk into pmf tomorrow and say i want one of those water pump spanners (the guy in the local is a bit slow)
what is the correct name or even part num if pos and size? thanks

well.... its a....water pump spanner ;)

two sizes are about for GM stuff. cant remmeber which is which sorry. But get both then youre sorted for either than :D

there held on by 6 alenkey bolts arnt they?? undo them then
i just hit them with a malit and prybar ??? then off she pops

i alway round the bottom pulley bolts tho lol what a fu**er they are some times

Depending which engine it is, you may not need a waterpump spanner.
Just a hammer to loosen it.

As if the the cambelt has tensioners/rollers, the pump doesn't need turning, it just gets fitted in one place.

I use a 41mm spanner for the waterpump on my nova, but thats probably not much help lol.

lol yeah i do need stick to doing the nova
well nova's got ma 2.0 shafts and spax set up today for my valver,
iv'e only done red top water pumps the vec is 96 1.8 16v

if you do loosen it off take it off completely an clean it all up inside as it wont seal up again, ever.
