Hi, I have just brought a second hand GSi Spoiler to go on my 1.2, as there was no spoiler there previously, could anyone guide me on how to fit it, also is it a simple job?
Cheers,

Simple. The spoiler should have some bolts sticking out on the underside. Mark them out in the correct position on your tailgate, drill holes, and bolt the spoiler on.
PS - stick some masking tape onto the tailgate and mark the hole positions onto that. It will also help prevent the drill-bit from slipping when you drill.
MAKE SURE YOU DRILL AT THE RIGHT ANGLE!!!
Sounds daft but your hatch is at an angle and if you hold the spoiler horizontal, you will see so are the bolts. If u just drill straight across with the hatch closed you will drill straight into the roof lining!
You need to drill through 2 layers of metal - the outer and inner skins of the hatch (whilst watching out for the rear washer hose!)
The wrap around spoilers off mk1's have similar holes (which should be the same as the mk2 holes position wise) and when I attached my wrap to my 1.2's hatch I needed to measure the angle and rough guess it when drilling. It worked but isnt as straight fwd as just marking and drilling 2 holes.
Line up the spoiler just above your hatch and use your eye to measure the angle of the drill (rather than get a ruddy protractor out and set square!)
I'll be fitting a mk2 spoiler soon myself...
