Twas a race, not a track day!
If you knew Simon Norris, youd know hes definately NOT a bad driver, although this was only his second race iirc. Looked like he got two wheels on the grass on the apex (easy to do at Camp as its a bit of a weird double apex), and understeered heavily. TBH in most cicumstances that would have just enfded up as a spin from both cars, quite odd that it flipped like that.
aLL i can say is, that debris fence did a fantastic job, lots of lives saved there. Hats off the the Combe owners who implemented it.
I would be a bit woried about such a massive power difference in that class though, a recipie for disaster IMHO.

oh i didnt realise it was a race seemed odd that them cars are in a class together like you say it did all go wrong as he kinda cut the corner and hit the grass on that apex just shows you can be a good driver and make mistakes like everyone else
wow...how did he walk a way from that?? lucky man

was just goin to say that when we went out round comb in rexy's car , that the corner is a very deceiving one , we clipped the grass on one lap and it put us into a bit of a drift , just think the power difference the multiplied it a bit
good to hear he's ok though :thumb:
just vaux trev

anyone got a harness and a cage for sale lol
If you ever think about doing a track car that should be 1 of the first things on your list.

I'd have to agree, there is some big differences in classes in this series.

indeedy.
someone even said it was the 106's fault (on mig) ffs. Coombe operate a pass on the right rule unlike 99% of the rest of the UK which is a pass on the left. Mind you even if the 106 was on the racing line... it got there first therefore its theirs!
talk about giant killing - the 106 doesnt look like its damaged that badly

It was a race ffs, you pass wherever you like provided its reasonably safe!!
The 106 did everything right as far as being a back marker, stayed off racing line, and made it the job of the leaders to pass her. Simon made a mistake and hit her. Thats racing unfortunately. Most of the Keyboard warriors making vicious comments on the various forums probably dont have a fecking clue about racing anyway.
One thing that should be noted is Simon has offered Christina ?1000 towards her car rebuild, something that definately isnt expected in a situation like that.
