I agree with craig a GT28RS, it would see you 300bhp. I think the output range is 250-320bhp.

but if you wanna easy hit 300bhp then i would go for a t35 turbo but it would take a while to get to full boost but as the gt28rs would be alot quicker

they are piss poor copies. you want to be looking at about $800 for a legit garret from the US.

I assume your "custom manifold" has a suitable flange for all those listed (and suitable management to cope with the new turbo)

I'm running a std 4wd Cossie Garrett T3 on mine, running about 290bhp
Only went for that as my std K16 was on its last legs, didn't want to go for huge power or have loads of lag so after doing a little bit of research was told a T3 would do the job.
On the rollers the bhp didn't change much but torque went up by about 60ft/lb, on the road it comes on boost a bit earlier and boosts up a bit quicker, you can pick them up for a decent price on Ebay to, go for a genuine Garrett one imo.

Aye, you have to be careful with those from the US.
You dont want one like Phil Sutton had, that just fell in bits iirc.

I know of folk running 'cheapo ebay turbos' without any probs, think its just luck of the draw !!
At least if you go for a genuine Garrett (or other decent make) then you know the quality is there, i'd always pay a bit extra and go for a Garrett.

Keep an eye out Ebay, also have a look on Passionford.com for some 2nd one.
Buying a 2nd can be a bit of a gamble, but you can get some bargains. If you can remove the housings then you can check the condition of the wheels are ok and that they spin freely then as long as theres not excessive play in the shaft you should be ok, also check the housings for any cracks or marks from where the wheels have been rubbing. All turbos will have a bit of in / out play on them, journal bearing turbos (T3 ect...) will also have a small amount of side / side play as well.

1st one IMO is Ebay tat, 2nd one looks genuine (Garrett / Airesearch) so could be ok, you'd be best finding out what size housings ect .. it has on it.
Have your self a search on VauxSport.com theres quite abit about T3's / T34's and turbo sizing on LET's ... worth a look.
Your also gonna need Oil feed / return fittings and water pipe fittings (if its water cooled) which aren't always included.

I trust you had the manifold face skimmed to ensure they are flat? Thats about the "only" issue most had with the Mvaux stuff.

What ever you do dont get a ebay one, mine last one full boost run before turning itself inside out. A garrett one might be twice the price but at least it will work.

A T35 will be very over kill for 300bhp, a t34 should be able to do 350ish depending on which one.

i was looking at the t34 looking around at some prices wheres a good place to get one

Go to precision turbos or somewhere like that in the USA.
