hi everyone i was racing me mate and i was ragging my car and i didnt realise my rev counter was off the clock and it has 7.5k and it was still pulling a little and i was just wondering what do you think they would rev up to because it has got to be about 8k or so.
the mod i got, 4-1 manifold with a full ashely system and a 32 webber carb
In all seriousness, you shouldn't be over 7k, with standard rod bolts.
Your power will have peaked at about 6k anyway, so your slowing down going above 6k.

it is a 1.2 and i no but i didnt realise because i dont look at the rev counter but my mate notice it and what would be the best apr bolts in it
my 1330 goes to 8K with std bolts, at push 8.2. Sounds like you need a bigger engine!

i have been told a astra has got the same engine as a gsi nova is it true
I believe mk3 Astras share the Nova's 1.4 and 1.6 MPI engines.
Woot, another magic 1.2 thread :D
Sounds like you need a vtec, yo lol
Even if it did rev to ~7.5k its certainly not going to be pulling at that range on a std cam. As said, even with the webber, peak power would be more round 6-6.5k. Is the rev counter accurate?
