Digi Dash Fitting! Mixed Answers!

Hey There, Recently bought a digi for my 1990 mk1 nova. and ive heard from some people that it fits in the surround with a a bit of budge but other people ive heard ive gotta start cutting my Dash up! Can anyone give me a straight forward answer? havent yet fitted and really need to know! all help appreciated!

so i take it, its not as easy as everyone says! u gotta modify the dash?

mk1's take more effort than mk2's. you have to run more wires and mod the dash for mk1's. But still nothing that can't be done, I'm just finishing mine in my mk2

I changed to a mk2 dash to do this conversion.
