Front end smash nova H '91. need advice on repairs PLEASE HELP

smashed the front end of my Hreg 1991, 1.4 nova luxe 2door.

Need a bonnet, top+bottom front members, radiator, L+R front/side lights, grill and plastic. got bumper, fan.

Can i get these parts off any nova? or only particular years, models?

By 2 door you mean a saloon (and not a 3 door hatchback)?

You'll require headlights and grille from the same age car (either mk1 or mk2), I think '91 will be mk2. I think a bonnet can come off any model of any age.

well theres only 2 different front ends, yours will be a mk1 being h reg (my old h reg was a mk1), but you could fit a front end from a mk2, wings, bumpers, grill and headlights! but by the sounds of it, unless the nova is sumat really special, sounds like a write off really, chassis is probably bent!

Oops was wrong, '91/J must have been the crossover?

h reg could also be mk2

H reg was the crossover, so could be a Mk1 or 2 by year. However, the Luxe was a Mk2 model, so its the later front end.

Lights, grille, bonnet are all the same on any other Mk2, although I believe yours might have the load levellers on the headlights. Crossmembers and front valance are all the same across the petrol range (diesels are different). Not sure about radiator & fan, I would assume the 1.0 to 1.4 are all the same, but someone else should be able to confirm.

I did the same a couple years ago, en route to PV show. Tough old beast, managed the 200 mile drive home too! My first toughts were coolant all over the road, knackered radiator etc.....

its like looking in a mirror!! my rad went back flat to the engine and twisted both cross members folded the bonnet etc.. F**king deer hit a fully grown female at 60. tough old beasts though nothing bent other then tin and the glass smashed!!!

think from previous messages my nova is an early MII how did you find doing the top cross member? thinking about cutting sections out and bolting the new section on. looks like more work then i want to chuck at it drilling the spot weilds etc. just got the mot a couple of weeks before the crash so just want to get running for another year.

Big chisel & maybe a grinder will get the upper fr panel (top cross member) off.

Deffo needs welding/spotting back on really. Maybe bolt it or use rivets.

Lower cross member is structural though, so that might need bodyshop attention. I'd suggest befriending an enterprising mate that can weld in that case.
