having a little trouble with getting gears on my project nova do i need use a different linkage iv swapped it over so much now i cant remember which parts are on it anymore
its c20xe mk2 i think it was 4spd
im running astra gsi gear
think its f16 box:confused:
any help i would be very greatfull,,

just done a 2.0 conversion, all we had to do was reverse teh little cube shaped linkage on the gearbox, so it had a little longer reach, and trimmed a little bit off the gear stick to help get in 5th gear!

could you giva a little mor info an the cube shaped linkage its been a while since ive had a crack at it but trying to get it finished now?

white plastic bush on the linkage flip it through 180 degree's

I've got a pic at home of the part you need to flip. I'll post it up later if you haven't done it by then.

A HAYNES manual also describes in detail how to fine tune the gear linkage.

Also as posted above, if you pull back the lever gaiter in the cabin, when you push the gear lever over to the right (for 5th gate) there is a plastic shim which may need trimming down to help engage 5th, if it was a 4sp car initially.
