Blue 1 (2nd post by Nova23) on page 2 is gorgeous.

I really raelly really want a mk1 SR at the moment. Might have to convert my GSi to mk1 spec with vinyl etc in the future.

The white one on Alessio's is one of my most favourite Novas of all time.

I prefer them over GSi's, imo as they're older, making them more retro =

Thats it, I've never really liked one over the other but the absolute rarity of mk1's now just means they look better in my eyes.

My mate got rid of F441GNK back in 97 or 98 IIRC, he sold it for a 1200 SXi as he'd pretty much ruined the SR although it was still great looking, but mechanically he'd driven the nuts off it & killed the engine & gearbox.

The body was still mint though & cosmetiacally standard. It was an awesome car when he got it, 48k IIRC, it pulled beautifully to 7000rpm & sounded brilliant at 3500 when it came on cam. He put 4x 175 x13" Pirelli tyres on it & a full PECO BB4 system which were all the rage back then.

I'll see if he has any photo's I could scan. Be worth it for this thread & old skool.

None of my mates SR no. The REVS (C5 DEC) feature is circa 99 IIRC, thats the same car in the 2 small pics, but taken at an earlier date I would assume as it shows the 1300 8v, wheras it went on to have a 1.6XE when featured & was in issue 1 of TV with throttle bodies etc. The lad is actually rebuilding a Sport over on MIG now after disappearing from the scene for 6 years or more.

The Lazer Blue SR is Fearless's off here. One of the first XE's I ever heard of, it was photo'd in MAX Power & other mags in mid 90's etc. Another of my faves.

The MAX Power group pic at Santa POD is from September 1996. Most of the top Novas of the time were there.

Issue #1 of TV was in summer of 2001 IIRC, was about the time I had my GSi turbo'd at Courtenay.

I'll take some pics of the feature maybe, I dont have the software to merge scanned pages.

Same car that CG posted earlier just an updated pic of Karl Rowntrees this imo has to be one if not the best mk1 on the nova scene.
