gearing probs

when i am thrashing me nova, when i change gear the car revs badly. What could the problem be. At first i thught it was me as i wasnt used to the car and i thought i wasnt lifting my foot off the accelerator, but i am. But is this normal, as my mates SR does not do this.

anyway what you complaing for, you want your revs to stay high when changing gear. just change gear quicker!

spring on the linkage for the carb missing??

be careful it dont rev it to blow up though eh coz thats just silly

get someone to operate the throttle (engine off) while you look in the engine bay, you should be able to see if something isnt returning.
The cables fray interanlly and cause this sometimes.
