Whats your budget?

Alpine, JL, Infinity, Phoenix Gold would be my choices.

No offence but the std ones ARE sh!t. I had the blaupunkt ones in my old saloon and even they were ar$e.

They're 4"/10cm.

?40 should net you some Infinity Reference 4012i (?33), Pioneer TS1056 (?25), or Alpine SXE-1025 (?25). Have a nose on ebay and you could probably get better quality at lower prices.

Is it a mk1 or a mk2 dash? If its a mk1, prepare for grazed wrists getting the basturds screwed in! Plus, use the OE screws to fit the speakers, not the ones that come with the speakers!

nova souns systems are ok for old women listening to their quiet opera music, but as soon as the speakers get any abuse they will distort so badly!

I have the yellow Pioneer 10cm ones, might be the ones Jack suggested but can't remember the name of 'em. Fairly good, go quite loud (with high pass filter off headunit + sub), bit of a pain to fit with the dashboard in though.

had a look a the dash speakers tonight, feck me thats a tight spot to get into, any tips on to do this smoothly?

Dave.

haha it is abit tight isnt it

best bet is this:

passenger:
remove glove box and hgeter pipe. loads of room then

driver:
take out the clocks and the light switch housing. then if youve got small hands then you might be able to get to it. if youve got "the hulk" hands then get someone to twist them out fot you

4 inch speakers arent worth a toss in the 1st place.

put a set of components into your doors, dosent take long to get em in.
