The car above F659AEC is owned by (Nuds sr) he is considering selling this soon for anyone who may be on the lookout for a clean nova with a good spec you may want to pm him to find out the price etc as I dont know but some of the spec is: c20xe on bike carbs,v6 brakes,bias peddle box,spax coilovers,magnum seats and cage,custom dash etc please contact him for more details I'm just mentioning it on behalf of him,thanks, Nick.

Thanks all for turning up, I was hoping for a good turnout and wasn't disappointed :thumb: It was nice to have a bit of banter and meet a few new members, although the girlfriend got bored too quickly so she can stay at home next time lol

Nuds_sr's Nova certainly has a few different mods and was nice to have good look round that and a few others! Gear lever is something special on its own!

That ecotec/XEV looks right at home in there. More people should use these engines imo. Use a decent 4 branch manifold with a chip & they'd be getting up near XE power anyway IMO.

I never planned on doing many mods to an engine so thats why I used the ecotec, the exhaust manifold on the ecotecs is supposed to be better than the normal C20XE's anyway.

The engine has had a lot of money spent on it in order to make it reliable i.e. rebore, new pistons, crank regrind, valves, valve stems and oil seals, oil pump, water pump, sensors, C20XE clutch onto reshaped flywheel etc mind you I could of bought 5 x C20XE's at ?200 for what I've spent on the engine.

It will be interesting to see performance figures when I go to Bruntingthorpe. It does seem to get into it's own around 2,800 revs upwards. According to performance figures of this engine in a calibra (see TV), it beets the C20XE 0-60 by 0.1 seconds, though this doesn't tie up when used in other vehicles for some reason.
