If im right in guessing its supposed to be some kind of model variation possibly the the people who styled the extras or supplied them in a similar way to Irmscher just they named the model a Bert1 lmao nah its Bertone really.
But then again im probably completely wrong lol

they were a design house; a number of manufacturers took them on over the 60's,70's and 80's to design theyre cars for them...
They designed all lamborghinis during 60's, 70's and 80's i think...
Some lancias - mainly italian cars.
They designed the mk2 astra cabbie then..

Yep, same as Ghia who Ford use. Bertone, a totally seperate company to GM, but GM contract them in to do stuff for them :thumb:

Assuming it's the same company, they're still doing Astra's. You should be able to see they're logo in front of the rear wheel.

They dont necessarily design them, its a manufacturing facility that GM (& others) sub out particular models to that arent produced on the main production lines. Typically Astra convertibles (mk2, mk3 & mk4) over the past 20 years or so, obviously the mk4 Coupes too.

Bertone carry out the mods to partially built body shells, reinforcing sills, adding roll over bars & assembling all the hydraulic roof mechanisms aswell as being experts at designing the fabric roofs etc.
