Vauxhall Nova 1600 ? Spec Sheet
Chassis:
1989 Vauxhall Nova 3 door hatch back shell painted in black with aluminium metal flake.
All unused brackets, clips etc removed.
Semi seam welded strengthened chassis.
All sound deadening removed.
OMP strut braces located on front and rear suspension pick up points.
2mm lightweight polycarbonate door, ? panel and boot trims.
Electric windows (front).
3mm Perspex front quarter light windows.
Electric boot release.
Map light mounted on passenger side door trim
Lightweight dashboard with 3x Racetech 52mm gauges for header bottle water temperature, oil
pressure and fuel pressure.
Standard 6 dial clocks with oil pressure gauge blanked off. Shift light incorporated in display.
Custom switch and fuse panel produced from 2mm aluminium sheet containing switches for ignition,
start, FIA master switch, fuel pump, fan, rear fog light, boot release and map light.
Peugeot 106 Rallye seats with 4 point (driver) and 3 point (passenger) Willians harnesses mounted on
Group A type seat rails (drivers side).
Momo Course, Ex Colin McRae/Prodrive (San Remo 96 winning car) steering wheel.
Rally Design aluminium pedal extensions.
Co Driver footrest (aluminium).
Rally Design battery box located in rear seat squab.
Fuel Pump and fuel filter located in spare wheel well, mounted on 5mm polycarbonate.
SPA Design door mirrors.
Engine:
Based on 1598cc Vauxhall C16SE.
Lightened and balanced crankshaft, con rods and flywheel.
Solid Harry Hockley Group A engine mounts.
Standard engine block, oil pump and sump.
Ex GM Motorsport group a cross-drilled camshaft with shimmed hydraulic lifters.
Prodrive ported & flow benched cylinder head.
Modified engine breather system with pick up points from head and engine block with extra breather
point added to cam cover, 1 litre oil catch tank.
Kent Cams aluminium vernier timing belt pulley and belt.
Modified alternator bracket and mount. (Nova sport spec)
Omex Speed System rev limiter and shift light.
Standard alternator, starter motor, distributor and coil.
Twin 40mm Weber DCOE Carburettors, twin cable throttle linkage, Rally Design chrome ram pipes
with RamAir foam filters. (Nova Sport original carbs, right and left handed)
Bowyer Developments inlet manifold matched to cylinder head, with vacuum take offs to brake servo.
Facet silver competition fuel pump, XR2i fuel filter and Filter King fuel pressure regulator.
4 into 1 Works type exhaust manifold, lagged with heat absorbing wrap.
Modified 2 ? inch Ashley mild steel exhaust system.
Transmission:
Rebuilt F13 close ratio gearbox and diff.
Up rated Rally Design clutch kit.
Standard drive shafts.
Suspension:
Front: DeCarbon Group A spec dampers, Eilbach springs, polybush bushes at pick up points and anti
roll bar.
Rear: Spax 21-point adjustable dampers, Eilbach springs, polybush bushes at sub frame mounting.
Brakes:
Front: Astra GSI ATE 256mm single pot callipers, Rally Design Black Max cross drilled brake discs
and Black Max brake pads.
Rear: Modified Brake drums and cable handbrake.


Goodridge stainless steel hoses all-round with performance Dot 4 brake fluid.

Looks pretty functional.

Never seen a piggy-backed servo vacuum feed accross 4 inlet ports before!
